The Bundle - Add/Edit form enables you to bundle equipment, such as chassis, accessories, or payload, with the container specified in the gate form. You can also use the Bundle form to edit or delete the equipment in a bundle.

Prerequisites

• You can access the Bundle - Add/Edit form only if either the AttachBundle (on page 1) or the CreateUnitDeparting (on page 1) business task is included in the gate configuration for the selected gate stage.

To add equipment to the bundle:

1. In the Bundled Equipment field, enter the ID of the equipment that you want to add to the bundle.

2. From the Equipment Type lookup field, select the equipment type of the equipment that you want to add to the bundle.

If the specified equipment already exists, N4 displays the equipment type of the equipment in this field.

3. Click Add Damages to add record any damages to the bundled containers.

N4 displays the Damages - Add/Edit form where you can add damage details for the containers associated with the specific bundle.

The Add Damages button works only with a mouse-click. Pressing the Enter key when the cursor is on the Add Damages button only closes the window.

4. Click Add. You can also add the equipment to the bundle by pressing the Enter key when the cursor is on the Add button.

N4 lists the bundled equipment in the All Transaction Bundles area.

5. Repeat steps 1-4 to add all equipment that you want to bundle.

6. Click OK.

If you click Cancel, N4 closes the form without saving the changes.

Notes

• Adding damages to bundled equipment through the GateStage tab does not record any service events.

• At the ingate, when you enter a chassis number recorded at the inspection stage (using the N4 Mobile) with bundle information, N4 displays the bundle information in the Bundle - Add/Edit form.

• If you use the N4 Mobile Yard Inspection program Yard Inspection form Bundles form to bundle a unit that does not exist in N4 with an existing unit, N4 assigns the Equipment Type of the master unit to the bundled unit after you complete the gate transaction at the gate.

• After attaching an equipment to a primary equipment, you can view the equipment in the All Equipment tab of the Unit Inspector for the selected unit.

• For a list of events that gets recorded for the equipment in various roles, see Primary, Carriage, Payload, and Accessory Events. You can view the event details on the History, Events tab in the Unit Inspector for the unit.

• You can override the Bundle – Add/Edit form (FORM_TRAN_BUNDLE_VHC) using the Override a Variform Object form (Administration Settings Database Backed Variforms)

• You can use the setting INVBUNDLE001 (ALLOW_BUNDLE_EMPTY_ONLY) to determine whether to display an error message when bundling the units other than the freight kind Empty.

To edit equipment in a bundle:

1. In the All Transaction Bundles area, select the bundled equipment that you want to update.

N4 displays the details of the selected equipment in the Transaction Bundle area.

Update the equipment type or equipment number displayed in the Transaction Bundle area.

2. Click OK.

If you click Cancel, N4 closes the form without saving the changes.

To delete equipment from a bundle:

1. In the All Transaction Bundles area, select the bundled equipment that you want to delete.
